Robojacks 4674
2019 - Destination: Deep Space
This robot was built to assist other teams in reaching the high platform during the endgame. The black panels on the robot folded out to form a ramp for alliance members.
This robot also had a mechanism that was built to pick up and transfer disks to their designated goals, which we referred to as 'the beak.'
2020-21 - Infinite Recharge
This year's robot was constructed to score cargo in the high and low goals while also being able to hang from anywhere on the endgame see-saw structure.
In 2020, we had a large team and were able to distribute tasks, allowing for the construction of an efficient and dependable robot.
In 2021, due to the pandemic, the game repeated for a year and hosted virtual challenges for teams to compete in. As our team had shrunk considerably and our meetings were limited during the pandemic, we were unable to participate in the offered challenges.
2022 - Rapid React
This year's robot was built to climb diagonal bars, referred to as the hangar, in the endgame of each match. It was made to reach the fourth bar, but could easily reach any of the other three.
We chose to focus on the hangar because of the rank points that could be gained from it. If two robots hung on the bars and earned 15 points from them total, rank points could be gained.
Although this game had balls to shoot into goals, we chose to focus on hanging with our lack of team members from COVID-19. In the post-season, there were plans to create a simple shooter for the low goal, but other aspects of the robot were prioritized, such as stabilizing the belly pan, for our conference's off-season event.
